Bloomington Cricket Club

BCCI (Bloomington Cricket Club) represents Cricket and is a sports club affiliated with Recreational Sports at IU. It’s a cricket club that was founded in 2007 and has around 50 active members(currently) who conduct regular practice sessions, organize tournaments, and participate in other cricket tournaments all over Indiana. It has been an IU affiliated sports body and the biggest cricket body in Bloomington.

IU has a large International Student population and many of the students want to play cricket at very regular intervals. BCCI is a very active club and organizes several Major and Minor Tournaments throughout the year. The major tournaments are held two times in a year, in a fall and spring semesters. There are usually 8-10 teams play in a 2-3-day. schedule. Teams from universities like IUPUI and Purdue also participates in this tournament.BCCI also organizes many Indoor or minor tournaments which are held among the teams of theIndiana University Itself. BCCI is a non-profit club associated with the Recreational Sports at IU.The Club is financially supported by the CSF (Club Sports Federation) and by Sponsors for organizing the events. The Economic status of the club depends upon how active the club is. The teams participating in the tournaments also must pay a basic participation fee.
